Birthdays and private events
Sixty years of people have marked something in this room — a birthday, a leaving, a last night in Beirut before a flight. Bring yours. Captain's Cabin takes birthdays and private events, and can put on a barbecue or catering if you ask.
Birthdays
Bring the people, and let the room do the rest. There is beer, a pool table, a dartboard and a foosball table, and Andre will play the right song if somebody asks him nicely. Ring ahead so the bar knows you are coming and how many of you there are.
Private events
A leaving do, a reunion, a company night, a night with the place to yourselves. Call and talk it through with Andre — what you have in mind, how many people, which night. He has been hosting this room for decades and will tell you straight what works.
Barbecues and catering
Food is on request. A barbecue outside, under the trees, or catering for the whole party. Mention it when you call so it can be arranged in time.
Something to do between rounds
All three are in the room, all three have seen decades of use, and nobody is precious about any of them.

How to book
Call the bar. There is no booking form and no deposit page — you talk to a person, which is how it has always worked here.

- Call the bar and talk it through with Andre. Tell him the night, roughly how many people, and whether you want food.
- Can you do food for an event?
- Yes, on request — a barbecue outside, or catering for the party. Ask when you book so there is time to arrange it.
- How many people can it take?
- Ask when you call. It is a bar, not a banquet hall, so give a rough number and you will get a straight answer about whether it works.
- Is there anything to do apart from drink?
- There is a pool table, a dartboard and a foosball table, an outdoor area, and sixty years of names on the walls to read.
